If your car has 1953 Chevrolet tail lights its a Chevrolet chassis and rear axle so you would need Chevy axle seals. If its got round tail lights it would be the US built car. Some US built cars were sent to Canada for final assembly to bypass import taxes on US vehicles and those cars will have a Canadian serial number plate, but are still considered an American car. Also the US car has the wheel bearing pressed on the axle and the Canadian car has the bearing in the axle housing.
