I hope you got the VIN tag with it. I had a deal on that car until I asked for the VIN # to check for theft and leans, and for a bill of sale; it didn't have one. He had an old registration that wasn't in his name, though.

I did it was buried under 3 coats of paint! The registration he had was out by one Vin number too.

The proper VIN did check out in the end. Police ran it for me no charge.

I'd be interested in a pic of that, I don't believe it's there, anyway if you have that, VVS will tell you all about that car.

Hi RBanks here's the image when i showed up to look at it I was a little suspect as well. It literally was under 3 plus coats of paint. Looks like the car was aztec, then a blue, then red then the new color he gobbed on it.
I'm glad that got discovered, otherwise it gets really complicated trying to register or sell it. If he would have exposed that when I asked for it, I would have bought that car. Anyway, I hope you get it together in the way that you want and get to enjoy it. I've had 2 Chevelles of that vintage, and I currently have 2 '67 Beaumonts, they're great all around cars, I think!

Thanks Rbanks. He was too enthused as I started digging away at the paint. I assume you are here in Alberta somewhere. Where do you get your parts for your Beamonts? If you don't mind me asking.

The Tin Man used to be a good source, I got some parts for a '68 Beaumont from him, he's not around now, though. If you internet search, there's a guy in Barrie On., and New Lowell On, and Dale's has some repro. stuff. Might be cheaper if you can get a parts car for some parts. A lot of things are either the same as a GTO or Chevelle (A body GM). The previous owner said he had all the SD trim, but I know he didn't have the lower side trim, that might be the same as a single row of '67 Custom trim. Anyway that's what I know about parts. You can get an assembly manual from Carl Stevenson when he has them available, too.

Yes, if you do want to purchase an assembly manual I can help you with that.
I'll send you a PM. Just be warned it's not as comprehensive as the US assembly manuals for some of the GM's but it's all we have for Beaumonts. And they do cover some things that can't be found in any other Beaumont literature such as the service manual or parts manual.
