I am installing g new ceramic coated patriots headers on my 66 SD 350 4 speed. A couple of the plugs are tight to the header to the point t that I can barely get the 0lud wire cap on the plug. Also I cannot get a plug wrench on a couple as well. Should I go shortys? Can any one recommend a shorty plug for a carburated 400 hp sbc? Thinking of going with a head heat wrap where the plug caps are tight to the headers.

I used ACCEL short plugs on a couple of the tighter ones. Bought a box of 4. They are about 1/4" shorter. I also installed plug wire kevlar sleeves on all 8 wires to protect the boots..

I bought some Kevlar sleeves as well. The accel shorty plugs I bought were only 1/8th shorter. I will give it a try. Thanks
