I am driving myself crazy trying to find a good wiring diagram for my survivor 68 Beaumont that had a LOT of extra wiring added (external cassette, 8 track, reverb unit, amplifiers, in addition to a bunch of extra stuff that I have all removed).
The factory setup is one front speaker, one rear speaker, speaker fader switch (front/back/middle), and the radio itself.
Here's what I think I know:
- rear speaker - blue wire
-front speaker- dark green and black wire
-coming from fader switch 4 wires - light green, grey and grey/green, and black (assumed this is ground).
- 1 wire for power - yellow that I believe goes to fuse box - I can trace it to the loom behind the cluster.
- I have the connector that inserts into back of radio (nothing currently connected to it as they were all cut).
I CANNOT figure out how all of these pieces fit together. I have the shop manual (not super helpful on this one) and googled for hours...
All of these are currently just cut and hanging behind the dash, and I am looking to put it all back together factory.
Anybody able to weigh in?
Thanks!
Doug

There should also be a grey wire (dash lights) going to the radio.

thank you all for the quick responses. I will take anything you have - even if its a drawing on the back of a napkin!
Paul, super helpful. If not exactly the same - it shows how this is connected which is further ahead than where I was, especially with the speaker selector.
Thank you so much. Great place for me to start.

I believe GTO will be identical.
Here's the drawing for a reverb. I'll keep looking, I think I have more drawings still.

I found this online. Would the GTO be similar?
