Thanks to the posters here! Busy day showing the car and inventory of spare parts no deals but lots of interest and questions with over 900 hits.
I cleaned up the beast and really drove it for the first time in about 3 years. It runs strong!! Guy stopped me on the street to say how great it sounded and smooth too.

Not surprising Ray that you've got so many hits. It's really an exceptional example.
Time to move on...Good luck with it!

"Facebook never tracks what you are doing outside the ap"- ya right. This pops up on my Facebook feed this morning:
"Just say no to fakebook"... lol
I have no use for it, other than to check out businesses who choose to have facebook instead of a website.
Anyhow... best of luck with the Lemans sale, Ray. Hate to see it disappear from the site, but hopefully you intend to stick around. We '73 Lemans fans have to stick together.

Unfortunately my job requires having Facebook as the board prefers using it as a method to communicate to each other and we use it for promotions etc.

Lots of people use it. The only reason I have an account is that my sister bugged me to get one so that we could connect that way. Then she complains that I never use it... lol.
I'm probably missing out on a lot, but I just don't enjoy most social media, TBH. Messageboards like this are as close as I get. There's too much toxicity on platforms like reddit, the site formally known as twitter, etc., that I think it does society more damage than good, but it's only my opinion. Others enjoy keeping in touch with FB, and there's nothing wrong with that... but I won't miss an opportunity to complain about it... ;)

Never had any idea that selling this car would be so much fun!
The things people say and ask are gut splitting, I'm writing it all down and may publish "Buying Old Cars for Dummies" or simply a book pf Hilarious Anecdotes.
Best opening lines, " I don't want to insult you..." or I've been around Classic cars my entire life and ......"
This exchange was great,
"Just adding up everything I HAVE to do to get the car on the road and ...."
Well excuse me sir, you see the car is on the road and has been on the road for 20 years, this morning the car was doing 100 mph on the on ramp to the Don Valley Parkway which is a road and if you like I will deliver the car to you on Kings Highway #11 to Orillia which is one of the longest roads in Canada. Now what exactly do you HAVE to do to get this car on the road?
Etc, etc, etc..................................

I'd call them out on it right on the spot. The line I use when people say crap like that is "I already factored that into the price"

That's a great suggestion Todd, thanks.
Another one that's great is "What's you bottom Dollar?" to which I respond "What's your top offer?" Its fun BUT a waste of time.
$17,500
Everything you need to know about this car is posted here:
Monthly Feature Car August 2008
454 swap into LeMans
Wheel and Tire project
Word on price. I looked on line and found a 73 GT listed for $19,500 and several 71s and 72s LeMans in the $15k to 22K range.
Since it appears on kijiji with these ads around it I priced it a a comparable price.
Sale to CP member will result in donation to the site.
Seems like a very fair price for a very cool car.
Good luck Ray.
