Bob Chaisson is the proud owner of this rare 1965 Beaumont Sport Deluxe. Bob has just purchased this car recently from a fellow named Jeremy in BC. Whoever ordered this car knew what they were doing! This one has all the good performance options. Jeremy was kind enough to provide some history on the car:
I started looking at cars before I could drive and I saw this Beaumont with my dad down at the local Esso station in Victoria.
We put our name and number on the window. My dad remembered the car from the 70s. I would ride my bike around looking for old cars in Victoria and then I met the owner. His name was Rick Carver. He told me where he lived which was about five minutes from my parents.
I used to make it a point to ride by and see him every couple of months to bug him before I got my drivers license. I couldn’t seem to get him to sell so I kind of forgot about the car. My dad had bought me an Iroc Camaro for my first car. I went away to dental school and came back home at Christmas one year.
I can’t remember what year (2004 2005) and I knocked on the door of the Beaumont owner.
His wife answered and unfortunately he had passed away. She was trying to find my number. We went down to the glove box of the 65 Beaumont and popped it open. My name and number was on the piece of paper my dad and I had written years ago at the Esso station!
My dad purchased a car for me as I was still finishing dental school. I think he really bought it for himself!
We ended up installing power steering from a 65 Chevelle, a rear sway bar, and installed the original hubcaps. We just cleaned it up for the family to enjoy.
Perfect 1965 and a matching excellent story to go with it.

Besides starting with a Sport Deluxe, such a thoughtfully optioned car with power drums with segmented iron shoes & h.d. hardware. That was as good as it got in '65 for Beaumonts. The 300-horse 327 & 4-speed Muncie along with manual steering make it my kind of car. It would make a quick, simple, efficient driver. The fact that it survived with all trim, let alone such fantastic overall condition, undamaged and unmodified makes this one very special car. I love that the stock equipment is retained. Always an attractive car, built proudly in Canada.

I am the lucky current caretaker of this beauty. Ill send Todd a Cowl tag pic to post , Im sure I have one here. Sorry for the small pics , Im not the best photographer! Its a pretty neat car , and the 4 speed just tops it all off ! ( also have the original set up , will likely install it back over the winter.
Thanks

Heres
cowl tag
If you can't get it to work just send me a private message and I'll message you my email address, then I could put it in the feature car story.
No luck with this yet?
