so the 66 Beaumont is getting a 396 and power front disc brakes

9" is stock on a '66 with the single reservoir master cylinder. 1967+ reservoirs are 11". If you want stock appearance and are running drums (which you're not) run the 9" & single reservoir, otherwise run the larger vacuum reservoir with dual master cylinder. Of course you have checked the space, right? The factory disk brake cars marked the start of the corner crunch valve covers on big blocks to deal with the issue of the longer double master cylinder, pushed out farther with the vacuum reservoir.
If I were in your shoes I would either try to replicate the look & function of a factory '67 disk setup or, I would just run a single bale dual reservoir MC together using later (1969+) single piston disk brakes either way. Proportioning valve needs to be placed with consideration for headers if desired.

My take is on any car that will be driven (not a points trailer queen), the brakes should never be limited to a stock presentation or appearance.
Paradoxically, I've noticed over the years that the A body actually seemed to positioned the master booster slightly further outboard of the engine than the B. Or maybe the engine sat a little lower in relation?
Regardless, I think you'd have no trouble fitting the better looking 11" DelcoMorain booster, and that the BB valve cover "Crush" should never be required on a A.

I have the single piston calipers and spindles from a 70 A body complete set up. I will get an 11" booster with the stamp on it, dual master. just have to figure out the tubimg and valving. going with stock L78 manifolds
