I could be wrong but I believe the oil tube and oil cap was black and the thermostat housing was orange.

My guess is that all are orange.
An American Chevy 11 would be orange thermostat housing, orange tube and black cap

All orange for MacKinnon Chevrolet inline sixes & small block V8s. No logo on the valve cover(s). 65/66 Studebaker used Chevy MacKinnon sixes & small block eights, but they were black with yellow valve covers and some say they differed from the production Chevrolet versions. Do you know anything about them, Todd?

It was all heresey about the Stude Chevy V8's being different. Some said they had higher nickel content in the blocks. I've also heard all engines from MacKinnon had higher nickle content than the American engines. I'm not aware of any other differences.
