Is there anyway that I can tell what carb. was on my 283 from the factory? also, the intake. should there a specific number on the intake manifold? 1965 Acadian Canso sd factory v8
There is currently a 4 barrel on it and I am considering going back to a 2. open to suggestions.

I can take a look at my Chevrolet by the Numbers book.
283 or 327? Auto or Manual trans? Air conditioning or no?

From "Chevrolet by the numbers, 1965 - 69"
Carb: 2 bbl Rochester 2GV 7025110 (4th digit is the production year, 5 for 1965)
Intake: 3850905

The numbers I provided were from the 1965 Pontiac/Acadian Beaumont/Acadian GM Factory Service Manual and specified Acadian
