We have a leaky power steering pump on our 76 Parisienne and have had a hard time trying to find one online. [We are looking for the whole thing, reservoir + pump] The main issue is that besides the universal fit ones, there doesnt appear to be any specifically for our year of Parisienne. However, since our car has the Chevy 350, I was wondering if it would be fine if we just bought a power steering pump that fits a 76 Chevy caprice or Chevy truck that has the 350? Or is there a difference in the Canadian and American Chevy engines?

I got out the GM parts books for 76 Chevrolet and 76 Pontiac.
According to the books the 76 full size Chevrolet car and the 76 Canadian Pontiac with a 350 Chevy engine use exactly the same power steering pump so if you can find one for a Caprice you are set.
If it's just the front seal on the pump that is a replaceable part though, you may not need to change the whole pump.

Alright, thank you very much.
One other question I had though was that it says the engine vin code the pump fits is either V or L. I couldnt find any letters/numbers on the engine itself however the letter L is in our vehicles VIN twice. Is the vin letter for the engine in the VIN itself or would it be on the engine somewhere?

I believe on your VIN the 5th digit is the L? That space in the VIN should be your engine code.
