We live in strange times. There is still brand loyalty among old gearheads. GM still owns the rights to the name. Marketing in modern times is not in the same market as it was, brand identity is in crisis (IMHO). If things are in the doldrums, why not light a firecracker and throw it over the fence, so to speak.
