Howdy BooBoo.
I have a 60 Strato Chief waiting for its turn in the shop later this year (I hope!). Nice to meet you. I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can about these cars and ripping into my project.

I have had a few pontiacs so far.  I currently have a 1963 Parisenne Safari wagon, a 1965 Laurentian Wagon and a 1967 Parisenne four door sedan.  Both of the wagons are 327 engines and the 67 had a 427 engine in it.  I've also had a 59 stratochief, a 1961 laurentian wagone and 2 63 four door sedans

I do have the 427 but I don't think it will be going back into the car as the block is cracked

Considering the rare factor, is it not repairable? Freeze cracking?

At risk of seeming like I am being boastful ( I am not ) here's a current list of my own Pontiacs...
1959 4 dr Safari wagon (project )
1959 Parisienne 4 dr sedan (project? parts?
1959 Parisienne 4 dr ht (parts? restore? )
1960 Bonneville wagon (parts )
1960 Canadian built 348 wagon ( parts )
1960 Strato Chief 2 dr post ( parts )
1960 Laurentian 4 dr sedan ( good builder - complete )
1960 Laurentian 2 dr ht ( pats )
1960 Parisienne 4 dr ht (rebuilkder? parts? )
1966 Grande Parisienne 4 dr ht ( project )
1967 Strato Chief 4 dr sedan ( parts )
1970 Parisienne 2 dr ht ( builder )
1970 Bonneville 2 dr ht ( parts? project?)
1970 Catalina wagon ( restore )
I am probably forgetting one or two here.. with over 400 cars, it is hard to keep track of everything. And no, I do not run a wrecking yard - it's just a hobby that got out of control.
Chances are good that later this year, I am going to dispose of many of the above cars as I have far too many projects and not enough time or money. Having said that, had I not bought most of these cars up when I did over the years, they would long since have been crushed. It's the nature of the game - many are made but few survive. At this point, I am thinking that I will likely keep the '59 wagon, the '66 Grande Parisienne, the '70 Parisienne 2 dr ht and being as how I have owned the '70 Catalina since 1976 and it was the car that my wife and used when we were dating so it is definitely going to stay and will likely get passed on to one of our boys. As for the others, for most of them, their fate is as yet undecided but some of the parts cars are going to get stripped out and disposed of as I am into '59 Chevys and of course, the mechanical stuff is all the same as a Chev. I really hate to do this and parting with most of these "old friends" will be hard. Hopefully when the decisions are made as to what is sold off and disposed of, they will all go to good homes.

Well, if the time ever comes that they have to go, you know to come here first, right? There's probably some parts from your fleet of 60s that I would buy from you before they go to car heaven (in fact, if you have a pair of chrome reverse-light bezels, and some rust free(ish) rear quarter panels and inner wheelhouses, let's talk!)

Hi All.  I'm a new member.  Love those '64's - I have one myself, a 2 Dr. Custom Sport H/T.  I've owned it for over 35 years but now it's time to restore the car and I don't think I'll ever get to it.  Lot of fond memories.  Not to slam any other years and makes. I think the '64 Pontiacs and '58 Chev were the easiest on the eyes.  Looking forward to input from other members.aww

I do know a gentleman that has an original 1964 Custom Sport 409 cu. in. 425 hs. in SW Ontario, 4spd.,  black with red interior, absolutely perfect.  He probably has the best collection of Canadian Pontiacs in Canada and I am not even close to exaggerating as I know will be confirmed by an number of members already on this site.  Unfortunately, it is not my position to reveal who this individual is however he has a fantastic collection

How about a summer cruise-in, to the Dentist's location, for a all Poncho group?

Not so sure the Dentist's 409 is correct. Ask Aubrey.

Well, here we go!  Who is Aubrey?  I must admit that I have not seen documentation to support authenticity however I would suggest an individual be somewhat careful before declaring any vehicle non-original.   Obviously there are a number of us that know exactly the car and the owner of the 64 without naming same.  The tell tale sign, which I did not know of, is on this car and he has owned it a considerable time.  I would suggest that any person diminishing the originality of the car should certainly have some factual evidence of same.  I have found over 40 years of collecting cars that most diminishing statements are usually out of jealousy rather than fact.

Hi there, I'm a previous owner of a 66 Grande Parisienne 4dr ht. My first car. Kicking myself for selling it but what can you do... I'll try to dig up an old photo of it soon.
Any chance of you parting with yours? I'm looking for one with the 327 in it. Cheers.
