I worked at Conroy's for years as a young slave doing all kinds of different jobs, from painting the entire dealership to selling cars. I was a member of the Ambassadors car club in West Van and we drag raced Beamont Cheetahs as well as some Firebirds at Mission Raceway.

There were no convertible Cheetah's offered nor sold by Conroy's.
I would suggest this pictures shows a wannabe.

Yes it is. I don't think he's trying to pass it off as a legit Cheetah, at least not from what I've seen of it at car shows, cruise nights etc.

I thought they were only built with 4 speeds? Apparently Conroy built three 69 Cheetahs, one with an automatic for drag racing . I have no proof for the previous statement. Pretty sure there is at least one real 67 Cheetah in the Duncan area of  Vancouver island? Lemans 64 may know of its where about?

Would be interesting to know where the Conroy/Cheetah badge came from.
I am a purist. If it is not than do not call it what it is not.

Update on Duncan's 67 Cheetah that I use to own, was sold to Brian Reed by Richard Jones but has remained in Duncan.
