Beaumont/Acadian/Pontiac Memorabilia?

I noticed in a couple of other discussion groups some neat memorabilia that were shown. One a old lighter with the acadian symbol on it and the other a "GTA" symbol from a Chilean Beaumont.(Still find it strange seeing Beaumonts in Chile.)

I would like to ask if anyone else has some rare memorabilia that they would like to share?

Myself, I have a 64 to 69 Beaumont (Original)parts book in mint condition. Still has the update cards at the back of the book so that parts departments could send away for updated bulletins. Also have a match book with a 68 Beaumont S.D. on one side and a 68 Parisienne on the other from a old car dealer in Ont. and Original 68 Beaumont brochure.

Brian

Hey Brian
Check the original Beamont Ads post in this section.
Can you share a picture of the match book?

Thanks Brad. I see it is way at the bottom of the list. I see you have some rare items yourself. Brian

I will try to upload a picture of the matchbook soon.

Hopefully this works. Inside the cover it says; Robson Motors Ltd. 166 King st East  Bowmanville, Ont.  Don't have a clue where this is in Ont.

Can you have a look at the bottom of those matchbooks to see who printed them? My dad was head pressman at "Strike Rite Matches" in London in the 60's -80's. He did 90% of the colour matchbook printing. If it's from Strike Rite, dad probably printed it.
           Thanks

Had a look at the match book Todd and sure enough it says strike- rite on the bottom. Did your dad keep any of the car match books that he printed?

Thanks for looking Brian. I wish he had kept them. I know he kept a scrap book of some of his favorites. My sister may have it somewhere. I'd love to find matchbooks for the 69 full sized Canadian Pontiacs!

Was looking through my Beaumont stuff and found my French 68 brochure. Thought some people would like to see it.

That location is still a GM dealer today, Cowan Buick GMC. Bowmanville  is just east of Oshawa Ontario.

Aye on the Maple Leaf sign! Really they were Chevrolet trucks built from the 1930s through to the end of the 1940s. They had the bigger GMC sixes to power them, like a 248 vs. a 216.5.
