I just purchased my first classic Pontiac. Its a Canadian built 1970 Parisienne Convertible. Its a 350 (Chevy) with a TH350.
I have read that I should be sourcing Chevy parts and not Pontiac parts....its all a little confusing.... Could anyone tell me if the Hood hinges off a 1970 Impala would fit the car or should I buy the 1970 Catalina hood hinges...or are they the same...lol
Thanks guys. I am so glad I found this forum..... I hope to document the ressurection of this big bodied Pontiac
Thanks again Rob

WELCOME TO THE SITE!!! really great people here! do anything for you, or to you. Thanks for saving Canadian History!! We will check on those springs for you My guess is that the chevy one will work! 69belair will know.. He had a chevy, before joining the Pontiac site... Todd has a 69 Pontiac FS and can help with spring info too... dont forget PICTURES....
I'm pretty certain the Chevy hinges are what you use but I wouldn't be surprised if Catalina and Impala hinges are the same.. Carl (the other one) on here has the parts books and should be able to verify it with us. Todd
I knew that I was teasing you! If you dont get the e-bay one for some reason , I have a friend in Moncton, who will have some.. Where are you located? Carl2
Theres a guy on Ebay right now parting out a 69 Parisienne convertible. I believe he is in BC. Go to ebay.ca and search for "parisienne" and his ads will appear. Send him a message about the hinges-I'm sure you will be get them cheap. Todd
Sorry, I saw this earlier and forgot to check for you.
Your hinges fit 69 or 70 full size Pontiac, US or Canadian car. It does not show in any of my books including the Hollander interchange that Chevrolet will fit.

You guys are lucky you have old cars with old headlights. Performing hologen headlight services can be expensive! We have giant tanks of hologen at work- costs $50 to fill up a set of headlights!
Hmmm, now I'm not sure about upgrading my headlights to Halogen. Do they come pre-filled on the first set? Or do I need to get them filled before installing? Gary
Hey Carl, not sure how to tell if starter fluid is regular or synthetic. And Carl I'm pretty sure I've got summer air, it's only driven in the summer, so no need for the more expensive all season air refilll, but thanks for your comments. Gary
