65 Acadian Beaumont Interior

Does anyone know where i might be able to get new interior seat covers for my 65 Beaumont SD, I have the 65 GTO interior seat covers but it has the Pontiac Logo in the centre which is not the same as the 65 Beaumont.

The GTO seat covers ia as close as you are going to get to the real thing. I had to get them as well. I know that they are not really correct but I am not aware of anybody who does make the correct. cry It is just another one of those things that us Acadian Beaumont owners have to deal with. It is partly because of some misiformed people who think we own Pontiacs.  bleh

I think there is a place in Washington or Oregon that will make the correct seat covers for a 65 Beaumont-they are correct in everyway-but you will pay for it.I know a guy who just got some made. They do alot of custom stuff, but they are supposed to be very nice quality.Ask Brad Trask on this site he has the info.

SMS Auto fabrics.  Have all the correct beaumont cloth insert material.  About 75-100 a yard.  But original NOS stuff.  Somewhere in Oregon.

Do you know what years and models they are willing to do?

I started by looking for my own 65SD. The search came up empty, so I went to several manufacturers asking if they'd do it. I hit the owner of one of the best,(imo, THE BEST), and he LOVED the idea! All the others only wanted to know "how many". Anyway, I can get any year that is the same as GTO. They will make the same mold without the pontiac stamp and we're good to go. I'm not up to speed on years other than 65 as I just started this project. Let me know what you need! I might do my 66 as well, it's got a new chevelle interior now, but I could sell that.
I think Beaumonts are way nicer than Chevelles! We need to do them right!

I'm going to sell the interior out of my 66 to a chevelle guy, and put the Beaumont stuff in. I know I won't get the same $ for it, cause it's been installed, but what the heck, I'll be alot happier when it's done.
Cheers

Heres a couple pics  of my newly upholstered 65 beaumont seats.Had a buddy do them from scratch  in 67 chev. bright blue met. I know they shouldnt have that big a pleat,or the emblem, but I think they look awsome. Its not like my wagons a correct car anyways.

They are correct expect for the P*nti@c emblem bleh and the fold-down arm-rest. The large pleat is correct.

I don't think he was aiming as much for correct as for a cool looking cover if I understand correctly what he posted.

I knew the emblem was incorrect, and the front is actually 69 caprice I believe .Now the talk of acadians not really being pontiacs on the other thread, makes me come to realize that there are no pontiac scripts or emblems on my car anywhere. But carl is right,I think I would have put the emblem anyway.

Everyone.
I have to apologize for (prematurely) announcing the beaumont interiors. We got screwed.
Two of the reps from Legendary that I was dealing with since Sema, said they could do it, for very little extra $ and I could have a Canadian exclusive for a while. Well as it turns out, they were wrong. I tried to place the orders, and got a whole different story. They will cost $8000 for a set up fee, and even at that they couldn't tell me when they can get it done.
We can't do business like that . The thing is Legendary makes the best interior kits. They make them for lots of the "suppliers" like OPG and such.
I'm going to keep searching, and see if I can track down the guys in Oregon or someone else.
I will refrain from making any announcements until I have at least my own kit in my hands.
I'm really sorry about this. Sometimes I forget I'm a car guy first, and a business guy 2nd.
