Anyone recognize this air cleaner

Here is a shot of the engine bay of "Project Beaumont El Camino". Can anyone ID that air cleaner? It looks like some of your BBC's but it has a chrome lid, no flappers on the spouts either.

Yes, I concur, I would say that is early 70's Z28 as well.

Check with the guys on Yenko.net. They could tell you for sure. I would expect that would fetch a good buck on Ebay-perhaps enough to pay for some of your Beaumont conversion parts!

To me, it looks more like a 70 to 72 Corvette dual-snorkel air cleaner. There is some good examples on ebay right now.

I think they are similar,  would the corvette, have a ring at top to fit it to induction?  I have one of these on my car.  bought it in Martin Michigan in 1988.. It suits me,since the 427-425 is going for 2600.00 US hmm

That air cleaner has the medium sized snorkels like the 70-72 Z28 and same vintage Corvettes. The lid looks a little different, dropping in the center relative to the sides. It looks like it has a lid from a 74 Z28. The 74 Z28 air cleaner was the same as the one pictures except that the snorkels were shorter still (perhaps because of the need to clear the a/c compressor, a new option on Z28s staring in '73, but in '73 they used the 14" open-element style for that one year).

Attached is a pic of a '74 Z28 engine, fully dressed as installed (from the brochure).
