75 lemans Tach

Looking for a tach for a 75 Lemans(to replace original) can a 79-81 firebird tach with the quartz clock be retrofitted?

I have used Firebird clusters for parts on my 73, in fact I have a 160 mph Trans Am speedometer in the LeMans. The tach is the same more or less, the LeMans-GTO has a Gen light at the bottom because the rally guages don't have that. The circuit board is key as well. It can be done and based on your posts I believe you have the knowledge to do it.

can I use the 81 firebird tach/quartz clock with my lemans/gto rally guage circuit board? other than that I won't fry anything? I know that essentially they are the same as far as size etc, but does the older Lemans/GTO circuit board run on amps not volts?..Just want to make sure, since the Firebird tach and quartz clock  use an electronic board....any input would be much appreciated, Thanks..

Can you post a picture of the back of the Firebird tach?
