Rooting for them to pull it off, both Canadian teams into the 7th game. My Leaside Flames dropped the first game of the finals, but we are coming back too!

With the defending Champ Ducks gone it's wide open now.

I think I posted this on another board at the beginning of the playoffs but I think the Sharks are going to go all the way.

I also think the Bruins will pull off the big upset tonight.  Montreal's offence, particularly their power play which was just fearsome during the regular season, just hasn't been clicking so far.  Besides, I've always been a contrarian. smile

The Sharks look good, ashame we don't see them more often here in the East, Joe Thornton is amazing! Still pulling for the upset from the Flames though..

If Montreal relies on Kovalev they are done, that guy was a -3 last game, he just was loafing around BUT there is hockey magic in that town, can't think of a rink I'd rather be playing in a seventh game, has to be worth a goal or two PLUS they will trot out a few Hall of Famers who will have like 63 Stanley Cups between them. Makes it kinda of hard to think about losing!

I go to a game at the Bell Centre every year and I agree, the atmosphere is amazing, they put on a pre-game ceremony each time that would put the Leafs to shame.  But it also puts a lot of pressure on the Habs, if they do end up blowing a 3-1 lead, those guys are going to have to high tail it out of town pretty quick before the press lynches them....

Make it 5-0 and a shut out by a 20 year old rookie, not bad after his last two outings.

A win tonight by the Flames and all will be well in Hockey Land!

At least the Flames gave it a good try, who would have seen them playing in a 7th game. I really enjoy watching that team, hate the coach but like the team!

Actually the problem with Calgary is that rely far too much on just a couple of players, particularly Iginla.  He accounted for 25% of their total offence this year, that is far too much for one player.  Keenan was double shifting him most of the second and third period, you could see that he was just exhausted by the end of the game.  I don't know what pulling Kipper was supposed to accomplish either.  He was playing well, 4 goals on 30 shots, what's that to be ashamed of?  CuJo was totally cold and let in a quick goal that may have been the difference.  In any event, in this instance, the better team won.  Roenick was a man possessed after resting in game 6.  Sharks' attack was far better balanced.  If Thorton could step up and play like Iginla, there would be no stopping the Sharks.

Most people here in Calgary agree, they're putting too much pressure on Iggy, also, all the papers are questioning why Keenan pulled Kipper. Hes the #1 goalie and makes the big bucks, why pull him in a game 7, when he was a major player in getting you to that point. Dion has to stay back on defense and stop trying to make those rushes, he got lucky a few times and scored, but that only lasts so long. As for Husalius and Tanguay, they probably won't be here next year, but they both should shoot more, they are excellant playmakers, but they spend too much time looking for that perfect pass.
Anyways, thats my 2cents, we'll have to wait til next year now...
