Oh ya !

It's a great show. Should have my carburetor back from the "Carburetor Rebuilders" from Toronto, just in time.

For any of you who haven't been to this before, come early, as the shadiest spots fill up quick. If you are stuck in the sun, best to bring a big umbrella or awning. The swap meet gets bigger every year, but now that the swap starts on Friday, alot of the best stuff is gone before the car show starts.

Great food vendors, 1200+ cars and an unbelievable 50-50 draws that exceeds $10,000 each way. That's right, 10 thousands dollars or more.

See ya there, Scott

im hopeing to go, went about 7-8 yrs ago now with my brother and we both took our trans-ams, it was alot of fun. Want to go this year but without the car though, not ready yet. I am looking for the front pontiac logo for the 59 so i would like to get to the swap meet. Was told from a couple other people that it is really getting to be a great show.

Which logo are you looking for? A friend of a friend has one that hes scrapping, and I might be able to see if it has it.

I'll see what hes got, and I'll keep my eye out ...My buddies always coming across parts cars.  Not sure if he'll have the rear caps though, I think he was gonna use those on his 2door Hardtop, One side of the car was hit at the rear.

Did anybody else go to Bothwell ?

It was great, as usual. Maybe not quite as many cars this year, but still probably around 1000. The rain held off somehow until after the draws at 4 pm. The 50-50 winners share this year was almost 15,000 dollars. Amazing.

I saw lots of other Canadian Pontiacs. Mostly Beaumonts (65 to 69). Unfortunately the digit camera wasn't charged up, so no pictures.

Hit a nasty storm on the way home. Actually pulled over for awhile as I watched the hail ding off the new paint job. Fortunately, no damage.

I thought later that I should have had some little business-like cards with the Canadian Poncho website on it to leave at every Canadian Pontiac I came across. I'll try to remember for the next big. Maybe the Woodward Dream Cruise.

Anybody have any pics from Bothwell ?

I was down there.  Had my car in the show, it was in the theme car area.  I got split up from my father in law, he had his Beaumont Covertible there.  Anyway good show.  No parts for my car.  I just wanted to see what they may have had but nada.  I would have loved to have won that 50/50!  I didn't get around looking at many of the cars since we were in the swap area for quite a while.  I think i did see your car though heading home.  I was heading toward Rodney to the 401 and thought that was the car i saw in Wardsville.  Did you take Longwoods Rd back at all?  I ran into rain too past Dutton, luckily i don't have to worry about paint getting wrecked yet.  Good show, it was a fun first time entering at a big show like that.

Ken,

I've got an extra passenger side glass and a couple of storage bags, both need to be cleaned up. How much are you selling your tops for? Is it just the glass or the whole assembly with all the pieces?  I just like to know anywaysmile
I've read about being able to lock them but i don't see how on mine...and has anyone seen shades for the glass that can be inserted when you're driving?

I posted them on kijiji for $90-I'd gladly take $50-they were in with all the 77/78 stuff I have-they are the two glass panels of course complete with the latches etc.. I have in the past seen shades on them but not sure if they would be factory, some have a key hole on the handle to lock them some don't.

Were they off a car 1981 or older? If so they'd be a different size than the 82 to 92 pieces.
