need some help

I have a 67 beaumont 2dr ht 283/2spd.I am in the process of restoring it.I am  converting it from column shift with a bench to floor shift with buckets. My question is can i use my column shift linkage or do i need floor shift linkage. If i need different linkage can someone point me in the direction to purchase these parts.I have everything needed except the linkage(i think).Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You will need the floor shift linkages. Nothing is going to connect to the column when you are finished. All the linkages are solid, no cables and connect directly to the shifter. Occasionally they show up at swap meets but they are getting fewer and further between. They may be reproducing the parts now or you can check ebay.

Pretty sure you'll need the column linkage still so your nuetral safety switch still works.

If you install an origional or aftermarket shifter in the console, you will have to re-route the wires from the back up lights and the neutral safety switch from the base of the steering column to the new console. Other than that, the old shift linkages will be of no use.
