Another rare 69 found.

Detais are sketchy. Here's what I know so far:

Found: 69 Parisienne 427 convertible

I believe one owner

Last registered 1976

Car complete but has rear 1/4 rust (yes, it saw snow)

Blue with white interior.

Car is near Barrie, Ont

Owner is ready to sell. A friend of mine hopes to pick it up-price still being negotiated.

No pics yet- soon I hope!

Hopefully the lucky potential buyer will register shortly and fill the blanks for us.

I'm excited that another 427 B body has been found. How many more are lurking out there???

How do you find these things?

The website is bringing awareness. Here's some pics. My friend couldn't get engine shots as the owner wasn't home and the car was too close to the garage door to get the hood open:

Those rear 1/4's are bad but the rest of the car looks pretty good. That appears to be original paint. What a great colour/interior combo! Imagine the same rally wheels and redlines that my Laurentian has on this car! No info yet as to the condition of the 427. More pics to come.
How many do you think were made? Odd to see skirts on a Non Grand Parisienne.

My friend has first dibs. I don't think it's in the cards for me to buy it. Depends on the price. It would ALMOST be worth sacrificing my nice sheet metal on that one. I said almost...

What an exciting find!!!

L36?.

Has the owner or potential purchaser run the Vin by George yet?.

Cool combo but from the pics I'd doubt original paint?

Here's a stupid question...was the 1969 Fibre Optics lamp monitoring system available on B-Body Ponchos like the Chevys, RPO U46 or whatever it was?.

 Awsome, awsome find Todd!

Looks to be in actually pretty fair shape underneath. Probably just the usual problem areas. No worse than mine, probably better since the frame doesn't appear to be filled with sand like mine was along with all the braces (I think it got swamped at Sauble). Exact same rust on the quarter.

I bet less than 100 rag Parisiennes made with the 427. It'll be interesting to see what it goes for.

I kind of wish it was what I was putting all my time into right now, oh well. hmm

The vigilite option was available in 69' on the big Canadian car.

Cheers, Mark.

Great find !  That car deserves a body off ground up resto. I hope your friend has the money and patience to restore it. Good Luck to him.

Me too. Could very well be orig paint since the car was parked in '76. Nose looks to be in good shape too. I'm excited even though I won't be the owner!

Not sure if it's an L36 or not. I'm anxiously waiting for engine shots! Mark, does your Parisienne have the rocker trim like this one? If it weren't for the grille I'd swear this was a Grand Parisienne

Yes, my 69 427 4 door hardtop Grande Parisienne had that nifty little setup.

(And I have no idea how I ended up with bold print here....!!!)

Yes, my Parisienne has the rocker trim Todd. All Parisiennes had it. My car actually came with skirts as well, guess it was a popular thing back then to try to make your "lesser" Parisienne look like a "Grande" or a Bonny.

That is just an awesome find and in one of my all time favourite colour combos for a 'vert. I hope whoever gets it has the resources to give the car the kind of restoration that it deserves!

If this fella buys it that won't be an issue. Maybe I should buy a "Double Cash for Life" ticket just in case he decides it's not his cup of tea. I could live with 2 grand a week for life..

Neat car. Most of us would love to have it I'm sure. I like the color but I have never seen a turquoise  69 FS Pontiac, though there is a 69 Firebird RA III in that color right here where I live.  Assume the convert is  a drum brake car as it appears to have a 14 inch wheel behind the fender skirt.

yeah, nice find! That 69' i think it was is still in sombra for sale.I think he wanted 10 grand or something stupid like that for a car thats maybe worth 2-3 maybe. It was a 350 car though i think and it is a convertible but needs way too much body work...its bondo city on that car.

I got an email from Barry (my friend) tonight. He said the engine should be free as it has been started every year but this. This is a one owner car who bought it to tow his boat to the cottage. Barry thinks the paint is original. Barry also thinks the owner said the car has AC but forgot to check the controls on the dash. He hopes to hook up with the owner next week for another look.

In my humble opinion the car was originally red, at least you can see red through the scratches in most photos.weirdface

Weren't they all red?wink

Yes, that looks like Turquoise overspray on the frame rail Dave. Good eye!
Question; Were the bodies painted off the frame on these cars?

Nice find!   another one saved...biggrin   How many old cars, were sold cheap, and parted out for seemingly more sporty cars?  Carl?  did you part out a 427 conv.?
