I just picked up 27 old 60's Hot Rods in real good shape for $25 on Kijiji. I could read those for hours! I have a pile of those filing boxes full of mags-I still have the Muscle Car mags I bought in the mid 80's.
I will buy 'lots' of 50 old magazines for $40 if anyone is interested. I don't care what they are as long as they are auto related. Condition of covers not important but inside pages must be reasonable.
is the era important? I have a laundry tub full of them in the garage. I need the space!
More than 10 years old please.
I have a crapload of Street Rodder and Truckin, I'll have to look see what else, I think I've got 5-6 Milk crates full. Not sure what else I have, Rod and Custom, Custom Rodders???? I'll have to look, if you'd be interested...

I should have added local pick up only. I don't think the postage on that many old magazines from Calgary will net me the deisired margin on my get rich quick scheme.
That's why you should of bought the Tempest and then loaded it to the hilt with magazines
I had boxes of old car magazines from the 50's the little ones before the size of the magazine changed. I had them stored in a dry location but the odour that got into the paper was terrible and it wouldn't get out of the paper. I hauled those to the Barrie flea market and gave them away to the kids who were using wagons to haul parts around. Now, I bring a couple of milk cartons of Old Autos to car shows and put a sign out Free. The most appreciating person who took some was a gentleman in his 80's in a wheelchair who was accompanied by his daughter. She informed me her Dad lived in an Old Age Home now but loved cars but never could afford a collector car. So now every couple of Issues of Old Autos I get when I finished reading them I drop them off in the lobby of the old age home .
I also have a collection of Playboy magazines from the early 60's to late 70's that I bought at a garage sale a few years ago that I intend on selling by the issue. I figure most car guys wouldn't mind having an issue for the year and month their car was built.

Best not leave those in the lobby there. You could get charged with murder......

Now we're talking money. Check out the market rate on these and if the spread is of a famous girl, look out, Al's going to be rich.

Your a very smart man calling Playboy an investment to your wife. My wife just says that it's SMUT.
I guess you can ask what you want for them but will they sell for that kind of money. I originally bought them for all the muscle car adds in them from the sixties and early seventies. I was going to cut out the test drive articles and the car adds and put them on Ebay but never got around to it yet. I am not very good with a computer and I have to get my wife to help with setting up the ebay auctions. I have had a few successful auctions selling parts on ebay but mostly I am on the buying side.
I know one issue I have has Marilyn Monroe in it so it must be worth something.
Don't worry Carl I wouldn't think of dropping these off at the Old Age Home, I wouldn't want to offend anyone or be indirectly responsible for any unappropriate behavior.
