Yea, definately a 5.7. Most likely, being $3000, it is loaded and has the 5.7 "P" engine which is the LT1, the same as the RCMP Caprice's had. They go goood! The Caprice probably has the 5.0 "E". This is the 8th digit in the V.I.N., reading left to right, of course. I want a "P" powertrain to have as donar for one of my projects. 2 or 3 would be nice as well...........

What year are they? As far as I've seen, the wagons all have P LT1's from 94 and up. Earlier can be the other choices mentioned above.
We've been driving sedan versions since 2000. You won't be sorry if you buy one. They are great vehicles and surprisingly good on fuel.

We will have to wait till sixtywagon gets a VIN. But it would seem it would have a 5.0 reflected by the price! Seems the LT1 bumps it up a fair amount, most what I have seen, anyway!! But if it has the LT1, for $1200 grab it for the powertrain, if it's good...................
The buick says 280km and a low revving engine....The caprice has a 305/auto with 239kms. They are both 92's

Sorry Carl, I just want Ken to know what he's up against. The Fleetwood as we all know is the top of the line GM produced car bar none. I don't care what engine is in that Buick or how many toys it has it is never going to come close to my near pefect Fleetwood.
Both are 1992's. Winter is coming. Having said that and based on my near perfect Fleetwood for $1,700 at a Cadilliac dealer no less, the Buick is a $1200 car. Caprice probably $750. Any Chevy small block is reliable and nobody is buying these for horsepower unless they plan to eviserate the engine for another project. JMO.
I think the last of the rear drive Fleetwoods may eventually be thought of as the end of the line. Maybe gain status similar to that of a late 50's Caddy?
AWWW, And I wanted to get it so I could smoke the tires!!!! Had too many other things to get done today, so never made it to look at either vehicle. I will let you know.... I'm leaning more twards the Buick though, just for the comfort options(its loaded)

Check out the 59 Fleetwood and the last of the RWD Fleetwood
Went and had a look at the Buick today(forgot to get the vin) The thing is Loaded, Tan Leather interior(forgot my camera, go ahead someone say it) But she is the second owner and was almost in tears trying to sell it to me. Took it for a test ride and it flies, had to stop and roast the tires at least once(just to see if it would, It Did!!!) Anyways, she told me to think about it and call her on Tuesday as shes going away for Thanksgiving. Bout the only thing I don't like about it is the interior colour, never been a big fan of tan, or saddle tan or any other tan for an interior. Going to look at a 61 Laurentian wagon(261/auto) and maybe the 92 caprice tommorro.(I'll take my camera)

Why is the person selling it ? As far as the car flying and laying nice patches, I told you so and that is without the 94 motor. That 350 has lots of torque. Funny I think white with tan guts is an awesome combo. Still think it is way way over priced. Remember what CND2PLS2 and I paid for Cadillacs.

Shes an older lady that has back problems and can't bend down to get into the car anymore, and if she does get in, she says she has a hell of a time getting out. Her husband bought her a new Olds SUV type vehicle. She bought it from the original owner, who was the owner of a Dealership in Calgary, and he brought it in for himself. The Tan does seem OK with the white, but I'm just not a big fan of it. I do beleive its overpriced as well, but I'll see what tomorro brings, the 92 Caprice isn't as fancy on the outside, but it is fully loaded too(I just got an email from the owner), and I do like the fact the Buick has that fancy window in the roof....

I sold this 92 roadmaster wagon with 147 kms this summer for $2600 and would want more than $3000 for either LT1 car I have.
I see you have your 60 Chev on kijiji Calgary-How much $$$$ ???
If you want, PM me the VIN'S and I will see what kind of info I can scare up in the GM computers on either of these cars.
(Oh great, nothing but trouble on this site tonight and now it's doing my writing in bold......)
