Another great photo find, thanks Mark!

The building to the right of the frame is The Right House. They used to have a fleet of oddball International light duty tractor-trailers in the 60s & early 70s. They had dual rear wheels and 25" drop floor 5th wheel trailers not unlike a 5th wheel camper (which hadn't been invented yet). The rigs were painted entirely copper.

The first 1967 AMC Marlin I had ever seen was in front of that very stretch of King Street, right in front of Woolworths in 1972. I had always known about the 65/66 Marlins but until then I had never seen a 67 (which had the Ambassador front clip and looked the best of all Marlins IMHO).

Hollywood, California, 1966,

Unlike here, I'd bet quite a few of those cars pictured still exist..

Downtown London, Oct 1967.

The all new Charger has arrived. Must have created quite a stir with those lines!

Interesting how the newspaper advert actually illustrates the new for 68 Corvette.

Great photo. I have fond memories of visiting that Simpsons as a kid. They had great window displays at Christmas and a whole floor of toys!

In 1974 the Canadian dollar was actually worth more than the greenback (one of the few times). Our economy was still performing well.

1974. Patty Hearst & the Symbionese Army. Streaking. Nixon's impeachment. Double digit inflation. Even / odd number alternating refueling during the U.S. fuel crisis. Some good music back then, including Canadian stuff. Pre-catalytic converters but they were looming on the horizon. The Javelin, Barracuda, Challenger were all still in production, as was the SD-455 & Buick Stage 1, but it was the swan song for all of 'em.

Is that a Beaumont with one of those giant bug screens on the front?

good eye, your computer must be better than mine.  YA, i would guess a 1965 beaumont or chevelle with the big bug screen.  looks like a 4dr sedan cream or goldwood yellow with a black 2 tone roof.  interesting color if that is what i am seeing

At least 5 vehicles sold at Pontiac dealerships in that photo. Must be a good dealer in town.
