Hi friends, this is my 65 convertible. I purchased the car in dead condition in 2002 in Phoenix, AZ. The car runs in the 80 in Indiana and later 17 years in Phoenix. The car was first time sales 1965 Highview Motord LTD Pontiac-Buick-GMC Dundas at main Streets GALT-ONTARIO. Over the years the car get one restauration..We German would say a typical bondo resto.. a la pimp my ride.. All was done horrible.. but the paint looks nice. The car was nearly complete but needs new fenders front rear , doors and complete floors. SO i bought all outer sheets from my friend Steve at Pontiac heaven..fenders, doors and rear quarters. Nice AZ rust free parts ..mostly from Catalina and Grand Prix. The parts are 100 percent same as the canadian cars. I only have to fits it to the canadian Chevrolet "underwear" . Like it was done in 1965 on the canadian Chevrolet / Pontiac assembly plant. The car is frame off restorated by myself. All is perfectly done.. if i do it i want to do it right! The frame was good and the car has 113000 miles on odometer. The engine is the first 283 and the rest of the drive train is all orginal, too. If you like, take a look at my www site at car domain.. the engine has an Edelbrock deuce with 3x2 rochester carbs, Pontiac GTI air cleaner, big 7 liter oil pan, Victor water pump, Petronix I ignitor, 2 " dual exhaust, Flowmaster org. 40, and many more nice goodies..

That is simply a beautiful 65' that really inspires me, and makes me think I might actually be able to get my 69' done with some hard work. Great resto shots. It must create quite a fuss in Germany today. But I suppose with the CAF stationed there in the 60's-80's, there just might be more than a few Canadian Pontiacs running around your country.
Cheers, Mark.

Wow! I'm impressed by your efforts and your dedication and the results certainly justify it - the car is beatiful. I hope you enjoy driving it as often as you can! BTW, did you see we have a separate thread regarding wedding cars?

Many thanks and merci for all the nice words from you!!
Yes, i like to work in detail .. my dream was always a 100 % orginal car, first paint, an untouched car, but after 44 years it s not to find. (I didn`t find a good one) So i searched and found with the 65 Bonneville an untouched car..no person has done something bad to it..low bucks.. after 44 years you have to make all new..gaskets and all is old and need repalce..so you spend money in it for what you would do in a better car on a long way, too. I`m just a hobbiest .. work all day in an office and so i enjoy after work my family and my hobby. Great thing.. summer weekends to cruise with my little family in the 65 Parisienne in the year 2009 !! You get many positve but many negative feedback from people in Germany like "how can you drive with such an uneconomical car" .. gasoline is expensiver than ever.. envirement pollution is a big theme in Germany, too.. I have two good friend.. Herny has two 65 Pontiac Safari Wagons and my other friend Armin an 63 Lincoln convertible and an rare 82 Mark VI..here`re some pics of their cars.. If we have time we meet us and drink some beer and screwing together.. Thats fun and keep us together !!
Wow, what a beauty! =) Und Willkommen. Nice to see that there are some Poncho enthusiasts in Germany, too. Maybe I'll have a chance to see some next summer :)
Bjoern: What a great job you did there ! You are a craftsman and must have learned how to do this somewhere the right way. The detailed pictures too are the best. I haven't seen many restorations so well arranged and displayed. Not too many hobbiests over here have a nice paint booth like that ! Great job on a great car ! It's also so good to see you drive it and enjoy it ! I too have relatives in Germany. Elroy Koch
