I wonder how difficult it would be to dissasemble a booster. I have a old 11" but it looks pretty grungy. If I could take it apart and put it back together knowing it would work, I could just bead blast the shell halves and have it plated locally for cheap. I'd have a choice of plating types as well. It was working when removed and I could just paint it, but I do like the bright look.
Looking at an exploded view of a booster, it looks fairly complex. Is it?
