how to attach window channels to metal clips??

for my 55,  i have new window channels and the old ones were held in by clips.  question -what is the best way to attach new channel to clips?  is there a glue that will hold material to metal?  cause the clips won't re-attach.

You are refering to the channel with the stainless steel edge? If so glue the channel directly to the door without the clips with 3M weatherstrip adhesive in black colour.  You can also use very short screws to hold it firm in a couple of places. Just make sure the screw heads don't go through the felt. Dap a little black paint on the screw head so it won't be seen.  To do it correctly you should remove the door glass and install one comple run.

When i dismantled the old one - on one side only, it came in two parts and the new pieces are the same. there is a bolt on the bottom (on the unhinged side) that holds the window channel in place, haven't yey taken out the front section.
Thanks for your help. really appreciate it
