Last Action Hero Car

I found myself at a collectibles show today and a vendor had a "Last Action Hero" toy car that was still sealed in the box. The box art looked very much like a 69 Pontiac. The vendor was sure it was supposed to be a GTO so I thought it was a case of poor box art and passed on it. Well I did a Youtube search and sure enough, it's a Bonneville! I should have bought it. Here's a trailer for the movie. Looks like the car doesn't have a happy ending though..

Yep, that's it. The vendor only wanted 10 bucks. Cheapo me walked away! I'm sure it will be at the next show.

Honestly, I only ever watch the movie because of the car. I only watch it because of that one scene close to the beginning, when there's sort of a chase with it.
Did you see the movie? Anyway, here is a part from that small chase scene.

I watched it when it hit the video stores back in late 93', early 94'. Don't remember much, except all the negative reviews the movie got. Had a tough time going up against Jurassic Park that summer. Decent soundtrack, included AC/DC, Aerosmith, Def Leppard and one of my favourites, Alice in Chains.

I just inserted a clip above if you wanted to check that small chase scene out.

Fun clip. I ended up watching the pursuer as well. The 56 Ford pickup is what I left home with when I was 18. Had a couple hun in my pockets. Not much has changed with the bank account since then, just driving a GM pickup now. Memories, must be getting old.

I picked up one of these at Barrie a couple of years ago for 50 cents.
