Got my 69 2+2 427 4-spd back today...

It's been at Musclecar Restorations for about 4 years (or 3000 hours if you're paying the bills), just got it back today!  I'll take some photos when the rain lets up!

General specs:

1969 Pontiac 2+2 427
Black, white top, blue interior
4-spd (actually TKO-600)
4.11 posi

Other than JL-8 style rear disc upgrade, it presents as "stock" including the wheels and exhaust manifolds, redline tires, stickers in the right places, etc.

I figure I'll show it once or twice in its "new" condition and then drive it.  Anyone know of any Pontiac shows in the Seattle area this coming year?  I don't think I want to trailer it to the POCI nationals (in fact, I don't even know where its held!).

Thanks,
Dave

Facebook and Flickr seem to have some lame image size limits, but here's a few:

Dave,
It looks awesome. I hope you're happy with what you ended up with.
The annual Northwest cruise calendar should be available online, very shortly.
I am not in tune with the Seattle area in particular, but I can tell you that there are annual Pontiac shows in Vancouver area, Kelowna and Calgary.
The Calgary show will be held Saturday June 13th and we would do whatever we could to make you feel comfortable.
Also a bunch of us Pontiac guys will be in Penticton on the June 27th week-end.

Alberta Iron Indians details here

Rick

My exact thoughts as I was scrolling down the pics.

Oh man.......... That is one beautiful car.  There is nothing better than a B body Canadian Pontiac big block stick car. Amazing!!!

One more pic while I'm at it (the Rally gauges, which of course are US only, but I like it this way!)

There is just something about a factory rally cluster, looks great. 69Laurentian and cdnpont (Parisienne vert) have those as well.

That's just gorgeous. Acccording to your odometer it looks like your car is ready for it's second life. I just bet it will get treated a little better than its first one. Hope you can make it up into Canada for one of those shows, it'd be nice to see it. The Penticton show is a beautiful venue on the lake and last year had quite a few Oregon and Washington cars. It's about 7 hours out of Seattle. Good luck

What a great restoration. Could I ask where you found the air cleaner decal? The Astro Jet 390hp decal, was that factory?  I know on my 67 it only has the 427 decal but possibly the rest of it fell off at one time ??

Re: air cleaner decals

There are a couple of places that repro them now... I even ordered one in French by mistake ("Jet Flame" instead of "Astro Jet").  Maybe Ames, its been a while but I can dig it up if you like.

The only problem is the originals are 3D, or bevelled, not just a purely flat sticker.  I've never seen a good repro that incorporates that yet.

That is one great looking car. I can see you with a grin from ear to ear and elbow out the window when you drive that around town.  Is that hood tach a factory item ? That sure would have look good on Beaumonts.
