Can anyone (or everyone) reassure me that a presewn headliner and molded carpet for a 1965 Nova SS will fit a 1965 Canso SD? Or is it better to just buy the material and have it made locally? I have finally come across a company that has the EXACT material that my headliner was and also offer to pre sew it but only are familiar with the Nova.
As long as you know the headliner pattern is correct, it is guaranteed to be correct as far as the physical fit. I just can't say for sure that the headliner pattern is the same from Nova to Acadian.
I know for a fact the carpet will be identical as far as physical fit. I forget what colour interior you have.

Thanks Carl, My interior is aqua, kind of a light greenish blue. My seats are lighter and my door panels are two tone. My headliner is a really light aqua which they have the exact color. When you say "pattern" to you mean the pattern in the material or the positioning of the bows? I think that's what they are asking me is "are the bows in the same place and the shape the same" I probably could get it done here but if these guys have done it before (a few times probably) it would be better ( I hope) They do want 280.00 though including material or 40/running yard of material. Probably need 3 or 4 yards so thats 150 right there. What do you think Do you have the same material that your headliner is made of anywhere (other than visors)?
I definately want to stay Acadian. The material they have is EXACT. I just thought that they have a pattern etc it would be easier than trying to have someone start from scratch here. You wouldn't believe the emails and research I am doing trying to get the seatcovers made to match my originals. I may have to send some material to one guy to put the dielectric welds or seams in it, have him ship those pieces back then have them sewn. I don't want any (or very little) reference to Nova.
Have you considered starting a thread on here about interiors for 65 SD's? You may find there is one or two others who need/want seat covers and it could end up saving all of you money, if so.
I think I am safe speaking for my nephew (67SD396) in saying he will likely be interested in buying set of covers for his 65 Canso SD.
