JUST WONDERING IF THERE IS ANY INTREST IN THESE. ALSO A BALLPARK VALUE ON A VERY CLEAN AND PLAIN LOW MILE EXAMPLE THAT HAS BEEN PARKED FOR 37 YEARS. 230-6, 3 ON TREE. MECHANICAL CONDITION UNKNOWN. ANY THOUGHTS?
Mike In my opinion there is a large potential range. If the body and frame are good (no metal replacement necessary) the value would be higher than anything that needs lots of metal work. Mechanical is easily fixed. Pick a number depending on how quickly the car needs to disappear. Say somewhere between $1,000 and $4,000.

Remember, "The Government" only has money confiscated from us.
THE CAR WAS PARKED ON BLOCKS IN A SHED S.E. ALBERTA FROM 1972 UNTIL ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO WHEN I BOUGHT IT. IT THEN SAT IN MY GARAGE UNTIL LAST SUMMER. NOW IT'S IN MY DRIVEWAY. WAS THINKING OF SELLING. IT BROKE MY HEART SEEING IT SIT OUT OVER THE WINTER. I HAVE OTHER PROJECTS AND COMMITMENTS AT THIS TIME AND PROBALY WON'T GET TO IT ANY TIME SOON (STRAIGHT AXLE 409 GASSER WAS MY PLAN FOR IT) I DON'T HAVE ANY GOOD PICTURES AT THIS TIME TO POST. THE PICTURE UNDER MY NAME IS AN ENGINE SHOT.
The photo in your avatar looks like a nicely restored car. It represents a fairly basic economy package back in those days. I think it is better left as it is with the 230 3 on the tree, that is a classic example of basic Canadian made transportation.
Most people would be tempted to drop a big V8 in there, especially in 2 dr. post as you had planned.
The under hood pic looks good. How is the rest of the body and frame? I'm an east coast guy, so I'm used to seeing these cars full of bondo. Yours doesn't sound like that at all. I'll say it again. You western guys don't know how good you got it for old Canadian cars!
THE UNDER HOOD IS RATTLE CAN "RESTORED". THE CAR WAS PAINTED ONCE WHEN STILL NEW(LESS THAN A YEAR OLD). IT APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN HIT ON THE REAR PASS. QUARTER-PANEL. THERE IS EVIDENCE OF REPAIR. THERE IS LIGHT RUST FORMING AT THE BOTTOM EDGE OF THE CAR IN THE REAR. MANY WOULD PROBALY CONSIDER IT A RUST FREE CAR. THE INTERIOR WAS ORIGINALY OLIVE COLORED (YUCK). I GUTTED THE INTERIOR (DUE TO MICE) AND CLEANED IT. PAINTED THE DASH AND DYED THE PANELS BLACK. HAD A LOCAL LADY RE-COVER THE SEATS FOR ME IN BLACK "VIPER LEATHER" (FAKE LEATHER). THE CAR WAS LOCATE DOWN ABOUT 20KM OF THE WORST ROAD IN THE PROVINCE. CAN'T IMAGINE HOW BAD IT MUST HAVE BEEN 40 YEARS AGO. IT DOES EXPLAIN THE "GRIPPER" REAR TIRES AND THE TIRE CHAINS I FOUND IN THE TRUNK THOUGH!!! THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR IS A LITTLE BANGED UP BUT SOLID WITH SOME LIGHT SURFACE RUST. IF IT IS NICE THIS WEEKEND I WILL MAYBE HOSE IT OFF AND GET MY BUDDY OVER WITH HIS DIGITAL CAMERA FOR SOME BETTER PICTURES.
That's a nice driver and probably in the higher scale of the 1000 to 4000. You would have to find the right buyer but a lot of guys love those post cars, ("Hey Carl")
