Hi guys, over the next day or two as I have time, I'm going to send a series of pictures and body tags I took on Wednesday at Aldon Auto parts north of Edmonton. This is partly for the registry and partly for the curious. These babies have been pretty well picked over but who knows. Apparently the business has no plan to crush them any time soon. I took close ups of all the 65's to 70's but I ran out of time before I could take the earlier ones so I just took a couple of shots of what's there.
Also I have an update shot of my brothers 65 409 car now that it isn't covered in snow. He's hoping to reunite the engine and body and get it moving under its own power just to make sure he has all the pieces he needs.

Love looking at junk yard photo's, keep them coming. Wow !!! a 65 409 car. Is it original ? Thats the cross over year for the 396. I guess that would make it a early production car. Keep sending pics of that one.
Hi It was built on March 17th 65 as a 340 horse 4 speed car. (One of 74) Based on the build date we had quite a long discussion a while ago about whether or not any Canadian Pontiacs made the switch to 396's in 65. The consensus was that it didn't happen in Canda until the 66 model year unless somebody actually shows us one.
George Zapora was not able to tell us the answer to that either.
The thread was called "The last 409 Pontiac?" back a month ago or so.
Hi Vince I meant as long as you're coming to Northern Alberta you might as well take back a couple more!
That's funny! My parking lot here for my customers is turning into my overflow from my house lot for my cars!!! I finally managed to get a pickup for myself as a work truck and a buddy of mine got a handle on a private sale of a u-haul trailor! This '93 Chev extended stepside has 507kms on it but it needs a trans. Little rusty but the owner before me has kept it up really well in regards to the mechanical side of it, so it should be fine..... I hope!!! Rethinking, maybe I should find a 6 or 7 car auto hauler instead......!
