1966 B-body Shifter boot opinion and experience

I have a tunnel hump for my 66 B-body floor  It is not very thick. looks like it just adds some strength...    The B-body origonal boot is not re-produced !!  I have some photos of original installs..   and photos    I have a new Chevelle boot and trim.. Has anyone here had experience?   I want it to look original, but its hard to do w/o parts..  The CHEVELLE pkg has a top trim with 4 holes  I could paint it carpet color.. The origonal pictures, show a smooth piece color coded in 2 doors and another in a 4 door, with "chevelle type" trim and 6 holes  C2

I used the boot and ring from my Acadian.I then just bolted them right to the floor.I'm not sure if bench 4 speed cars had a "hump" so to speak.

'68-'69 Nova/Acadian parts. The only piece I didn't use regretably is the mount that goes underneath the floor so the boot ring could attach to.I already had the carpet in and the tranny as well.
