Coming up in a private collection auction in Toronto Oct 17 - Will post auction details in a couple of days
This beautiful car has had a meticulous frame-off restoration beginning with a low-miles one-owner car. Much of the upholstery and dash are original which is a testament to the quality and originality of the car prior to restoration. The car is equipped with a 348 cubic inch Tri-Power V8, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, power top, power antenna, continental kit, spot lights, dual exhaust and the original radio is converted to am/fm. Having the opportunity to purchase any 58 Parisienne Convertible is rare, let alone a tri-power example in this quality.

Yes, I have details too but was not sure they could be released. Al Webster well known in Ontario for building awesome cars is selling off his collection. RM is handling it all.
Al told me he has a 61 348 tri power convertible too. There is a 58 Tri power Parisienne Convertible manual floor shift car in Ontario Black with Red that Al built, won the Cruise nationals a few years back too. I mostly know his Cadillacs from going to the Cadillac shows in Toronto, I've also seen an awesome one of none Olds starfire wagon he built.
Here is one of Al's Cadillacs. He told me he had $125,000 in this car. You can see him and his wife sitting behind it in the first shot.
He is a very nice gentleman. Since my uncle drove nothing but Cadillacs I asked him if he could show my son how to fill the gas tank. Al said go ahead and show him you know where it is. Man I never opened the gas cap so carefully, all I could think was this is a six figure restoration! It's under that taillight, push it that little button on the lense and lift, ever so carefully.

He told me it's his wife's car, original 348 I believe. Are you kidding that has to be one of the nicest 58's anywhere, maybe THE NICEST. It makes the Caddy look like a powder blue turtle!

Yes, it is a TriPower car, I picked up a flyer for the auction at Autofest on the weekend and it is the feature car. I guess we will see now what the market is like for one of the most unique and rare cars out there.

This car is awesome. Anyone get upset if it came south of the border?
As always highest bidder owns it Bill. It would really be a center stage car at a lot of U.S. shows, especially when they see the 348,and I'm sure it has documents also. I don't care where it goes as long as it's driven, kept up, and displayed.
Telephone tag....I gave her my cell number since I'll be on the road tomorrow. I'll see what more I can find out. I won't be able to post but if I find out anything good I'll call you Hillar and you can notify as deemed appropriate.

Al Webster has some of the nicest cars in North America. My brother has purchased numerous cars from Al over the past 30 years. The latest being a 1939 Ford truck with very low miles. The big question will be will the cars meet the reserve price in this economy. Al Webesters cars are always priced very high due to the type of car he owns and the condition they are in. In reality all his vehicles are too costly for 95% of the people involved in the old car hobby and his clientele is very limited with most buyers being dealers and other millionaire car collectors.
I think I will make the trip to Toronto for the RM auction as it will be worth it just to see all his cars in one place at the same time.
Yes, it is a seperate auction taking place just for Al's cars taking place Oct. 17 on a farm north west of Bradford. Flyer says there will be 35 cars auctioned off.
