I really don't like 14" rims...

...But I do have these...15x8 '72 Vintage Vette.
Small caps, 67' Chev Disc brake centers. I'll buy some correct caps asap.
Kind of a loaded question, but will CP'ers like the big rally's on a 67 in place of the factory 14's and caps?

The tires are a little wide at 255mm.

I don't know. They may look very good on there but it's tough to deny the "cruiser" look that car has in the picture above. That is a styling home run right there!

I have to say that the wheel discs on the GP are one of my all time favourites. I think the car looks awesome as it sits, rally wheels imply something that it's not. JMHO.

I agree with the beautifull wheel covers   The Rally wheels give it a more performance look  A picture is all you need before you sell them  lol

Cool Ray, but the Rally's can at least wake the old girl up a little. Not to say she'll be in this form forever.

There is a little tag/indentation at the inside bead  It is the DOT number   It will end in numbers like  429  which would be the 42nd week of 1999   After 2000 they switched to  01 02 03 etc   so a # ending eg. 2507  would be 25th week of 2007  They are generally built a few months prior to installation   my "new" RV trailer had a code of 4606 on them  so they were built in Nov 06 for my Mar 07 build trailer  biggrin

Actually... all told, I'm not sure if the old bushings will be keen on supporting the big wheels.
All the rubber on this 42 year old car will need some work.
I'm already planing...

Front end  susp rebuild.
Rear end susp rebuild.

12.1 box

Big Bars

Duals

Weatherstrip.

I'd have to see them on the car before I decide and then see the car in person (hint)

Interesting how the center of these GP wheel covers somewhat resemble the 67' Rally flat caps.

I might be kind of biased, but I like the 14" rims and caps.
They're right for the car. I've been tempted a couple of times to put
rally's on my 2+2, but I always come back to keeping it the way it is.

I'm with Ray on this one.  The GP wheelcovers were unique to that model and not used on any other.  Rally wheels only came on 2+2s.  I was chastized last year when I actually had the nerve to suggest replacing  the dog dishes on my Laurentian with rally wheels!
