It's sad. You know, in another 10 years or so, maybe less, all the field cars will be iron oxide. Let's really hold onto the good ones we've got, and try to pass them on to the next gen.

I guess that since I am here in Saskatchewan, these are now a regular occurance to me that doesn't fizz on me as it once use to. Imagine how one felt when I first arrived? I was on cloud 9 to be sure!! But this car is already spoken of by myself. (do I need more?) That being said, most of us Eastern guys do know the heartbreak of the enviroment issues that occur from even Manitoba to the Newfoundland shores where these and many other cars and fine metals disappear into dust! The '67 Grande I picked up on the West coast also has the same issues. But not to spoil or burst any bubbles, this car has been here longer than I have and has been getting soft for awhile. The trunk pan is near gone and I suspect the frame is the same. Mark, Monday morning I will mail off a box of Kleenex for you..... (lol) That being said, I am sure there are others out there that hasn't been found or "grieved" over yet! But rest assured, if I find them, I will post them!!!!!

I am sure it was, Mark!! I got the THM400 shaft out of it a long time ago, and the clip was removed to put on another car to save it. It was a 2 door Parisienne. Not sure what ended it's days, but like most here, it just got shoved into the back 40 because it was closer than anywhere else! Also I have heard that the trade in value was low to nothing so most decided to let them rot in their field than give it away.........
This is the other one...

That low trade in value theory makes sense Vince. A lot of pictures I've seen of the long term yard CP's, seem to suggest that were actually driven in and parked. The top side on some look completely undamaged.
