Tough getting the back ones on, 255 is just a little too wide. 245 max on the 8" rim on a 67 GP CP. Forget the jack under the diff... Frame up one side at a time, and a roll in from the rear of the opening. Skirt bars touch the wheels when pushing them up but clear when snapped in. But man! What a difference in the way this thing drives! It's night and day compared to the crappy little all seasons. I like the look. Slightly higher with just a wee bit of attitude. I think the USSR embassy would even approve.
So what do you think...
Gotta' love the fatties with this front end...
Cheers, Mark

"So when you spot violence, or bigotry, or intolerance or fear or just garden-variety hatred or ignorance, just look it in the eye and think... The good outnumber you, and we always will." Patton Oswalt
The original Road Test from Canada Track & Traffic February 1967 issue I reprinted this issue in Astro News Flash is of a 67 GP 427 car. It is fully loaded and it was equipped with redlines and wire wheel covers. The testers complimented the car's handling with the upgraded 14" redlines. I have to doubt that many GP's ever came equipped with Rallys. If you were members of the CPSC you would have that rare and probably the only road test of a Canadian Pontiac ever done in your hands right now.

I love the look and I love the originals p.s next time, let the air out of the tires! old tire man trick lol Carl
It might be noticable to any front end or tire guys, that the tires are have a big camber thing happening. The Upper control arm bushings are gone. But go figure, the thing steers better with the wide wheels. Are they so wide that they can't help but sit flat compared to the skinnies?

Does look awesome!!!! I always had to jack my Grande on the frame because of that same reason....... I always squeezed the tire between the quarter and the drum and then let it drop over the drum assembly. Never had a flat on the road and probably thank God I never as I probably would have drove it home on the rim!!!! (lol)
I had a fellow with a 69 El camino He ordered, big, non- returnable slicks I mounted them on 10 rims.. He called and said the d*m things would not fit, and he was not cutting lips of fender, and he was bringing them back... I said bring in the Elkie He brought it in a a trailer My best employee, jacked it up, on trailer, and let the air out, and shoved it in place... Was he embarassed! of course we laughed a lot!!
