Got a call asking if I could pull my car out of storage so someone could access a boat. Hey, I was happy to see her so soon this year. 0 degrees. A little gas down the carb and a fresh battery and she came to life instantly, then ran on the choke. High idle and warmed her up. Took her out for a few k's then back to bed she went. Ran great, sure felt good.

My 68 SD. The first one is from several years ago just after the first engine rebuild. The second one is a couple years ago after the second rebuild. It is now a .070 over 427 with 543 hp.
Had the 65 out for a little run this evening (the best time imop), took a crappy little video when I got home. But you can hear how nice the 327 is sounding now, and at the risk of sounding like a broken record, it's gets better all the time. One thing I did notice today, is that I dont think I have the throttle rod adjusted to allow the carb to WOT. Push it really hard to the floor and it comes on a little stronger. I'll adjust it to just allow full throttle, but not so much as to have the carb as the stop.
Hear that whine...it's the alternator. Turn all the lights off and it gets quieter. Is that a bad bearing or something else that causes this? Charges just fine, and It's not bad enough to change it, but I'm just wondering.
