I really should post more about some of the outlets I found in the states for front end kits. A full A-body kit with ball joints, tie rods and sleeves, upper and lower a-arm bushings, sway bar links and bushings, idler arm for 179.00 plus 65.00 shipping through USPS. Yes they know the problems we have with brokerageso they ship through USPS. It is www.mattsclassicbowties.com. They will drop ship straight from the wholesaler. I'm in the same state as you right now.

If this car wasn't so rare. i probably would cut my loses and quit but i'm learning lots. it's also given me confidence to take a stab at my little wagon again. but as i told my wife one project at a time. mind you i might have to take a break from this car in the spring after the body is back on the frame. my frame and suspension is done, i got all my parts from the local napa. if they had charged me full retail i probably would have got my stuff from somewhere else.
65sssd do you have any better pics of your restoration. your frame is looking good. how are you supporting the body? i know of a beaumont convertible that had to be taken apart because of shifting during reconstruction while the car was separated
Holy mackerel Steve have you ever been flying on your restoration project! And it looks fantastic
Clue us in on what you take to keep your energy level up will you please?
LOL! You're a year and 17 days younger than I and I'd be really happy if I could accomplish half of what you have, in a year let alone a few short weeks or a couple of months.
unbelievable how much work you get done Are sure you were a Cook?
Given your technical skills, YOU would be THE MAN to start reproducing '69-'70 1/4 panels Steve! Everyone could chip in and buy ya a nice little thump press! A man of YOUR calibre would have absolutely NO problem doing up the tooling for THAT! LOL! I just gotta say though, all kidding aside, you blow me away just that much more whenever I see the next step you've done on this project Buddy! Amazing. Simply amazing.
Everyone could chip in and buy ya a nice little thump press!
... and ten more pairs of Vicegrips! Great job Steve!

I only got the bumper outers and the crest from Pascal, the rest i already had. somewhere in the stack of boxes behind the car is a set of signal lights . but they can wait till i start reassembling the car.
one question. the pontiac crest in the center of the bumper, the one i got off the car was red in the grooves but the one i received from Pascal is black. same part number on the back of both. anything to do with american/canadian or on a off chance was mine painted? or any other suggestions.

Both US & Cdn '70 Full Size cars used the same emblem on the bumper, the paint should be kind of a red wine color.
i have been making progress slowly but surely. had to completely rebuild the lip on the passenger side top well. also the braces on the underside
making sure the chrome fits
one more bracket/brace to do after supper then that side is done. i've positioned the drip tray under the lip so i will have the attachment point lined up.
convertible top well is done and have started moving forward. took out the rear pan and the brace, cleaned up everything and started installing the rear seat pan and brace. ordered another sheet of steel and going to bills trucks tomorrow to order the middle cross brace
finally a progress shot that makes me feel that i'm moving foreward
You have made some serious progress!!!! I hadn't checked this thread in a while and all I can say is WOW....you work fast!!!!! NIce work on the patch panels, they look very nice.
