frig that posi went in in 2013. didn't realize i was dragging my butt that much. i wasn't happy with the wheel wells and i got some used ones off rarechev plus some rear quarter/wheel well patch panels for an american pontiac. the only thing that matched was the wheel lip, and i'm good with that. last month or so i cut out the wheel wells and redid the outer wheel wells. passenger side is done and i'm almost finished doing the driver side. i wouldn't be surprised if i have it off the rotisserie by christmas. that being said what is the best way to coat the under side. epoxy sealer then seam sealer or what do you folks recommend.

did a lot of welding today. finished off the driver side wheel well. noted the rear of the car the cross pane wasn't to secure to the side panels. they are now. i'll finish off the passenger side wheel well tomorrow then it grinding time. i'm also changing out the turbo 350 for a 400 sometime this week. want to do that before i put the body back on the chassis.
Good persistence there, Steve. I wish I was your welding supplier as you are sure giving her. Am enjoying following the progress even with the odd gap.
i have a truck 400 with the deep sump ready to go in with a new stock converter and special yoke to replace the truck one. considering i intend to tow a trailer i thought it would be the best one. the rearend is a 273 posi 12 bolt so i'm thinkin over drive is not that big of an issue and no computer or oddball linkage to deal with.
i also picked up epoxy primer/sealer today and a gator guard box liner kit with a special sprayer. worked just called so i'm working tomorrow and not grinding. figure i did about half the grinding today and the other wheelwell is good to go. on another note i just ran out of gas on the mig so any fill welding will have to wait till thursday.

That is some nice fab work!! I'd say more like artwork! Hope your using Linde as a gas supplier, I might just get that raise. Might be a while between posts but your still one motivated guy!
changed over the turbo 350 tranny to a truck turbo 400 with a deep sump. the 400 frames came with tabs for the crossmember farther back so i had to make mine. pure fluke on the drive shaft because the 350 was a long tailpiece and the 400 was a 400 short tail stock. they are both the same length only had to change the yoke over to a slip yoke conversion and reuse the drive shaft.
Oh Yeah ! Looking so good now, its amazing when you get so luck and things just fit, of course the General probably planned it that way to save costs and retooling.
