Boy, it's hard not to love a white Acadian!

Good luck with the sale. As stated, that seems like a great buy for someone looking for one of the sweetest designs of a unique Canadian car.

If only I had room for another one.... I love that baby! I see it has the optional back up lights too! The backup lights in the bumper was exclusive to Acadians as far as I know. On a Nova, they were grouped with the tailights.

I want to apologize to the seller ahead of time because it is not my intent to challenge the originality of this car.  I actually like the car very much.
I just want to raise a question that comes to my mind when viewing these pictures.

The rear Acadian trim between the tail lights looks like the trim I've seen on 64 Acadians, it is not the same as the trim on my 63 or any of the others I've seen.
I once had the two small pieces shown on the inside of the tail lights and sold them to a member restoring a 64 Acadian.
My experience with the radio delete plates is they were natural aluminum finish in 62 & 63 while the only ones I've seen painted interior color were from a 65 Nova or Acadian.  I've never seen another 63 Acadian or Nova with a painted radio delete plate.
Again, these comments are not meant to be negitive, they are posted only in the interest of originality.

I was going to take photo out of 64 Acadian for comparison, but our 64 brochure is a 65   no 64...

The correct rear trim is on the car now. I put the 64 trim on due to overall condition.

Will this car hold a 327?    does it need V8 springs?

No problem on the 327, I put new station wagon springs in when I did the car.

Excellent!   I notice it has posi rear end    Would I be able to squeal "both" tires with a 327?   or would I need a 350?   or will the 6 do it

Assuming your serious, turning the tires would be more a product of the transmission, converter and tires.  Sometimes when you put this combo together with some good radial tires, the result will be wheel hop, very common with a rear leaf spring suspension.  Then you can add some additional form of traction control and test the strength of the differential again.
I sometimes prefer  to use a less sticky or old tire in order to make it easy to turn them and save the stress on the differential.

Hey Forespeed your taking the spin the tires way too serious. Even if you do break the glide or the diff they are available everywhere for next to nothing. So I say "LIGHT EM UP".

I used to drive my Dads 61 Strato Chief 4 door 261 "big" six and 'glide    I would hold it to the floor, and pull it into gear....  Do you do that with the "little six" too?

Carl, I'd have thought in your case nothing shy of a 427 would be good enough for this little unit.
It's high time I go out and splurge on a bunch of lottery tickets for tomorrow night's draw and if by some mindblowing chance my numbers come up, this car would be here so fast MY head would spin! At least if I did win the lottery I'd have enough money for the divorce that would ensue. LOL

I guess your right, in my old age, I just don't have the desire to push until it breaks.  The first motor I blew up was a 216 ci 6cyl and my dad made me learn how to rebuild it before I could drive again.  That lesson really didn't sink in.
I think the sound of broken parts is the worse thing I could hear right now.  I love to drive my cars but I really don't have the "Pinks all out" mentality anymore.

My goal is to leave hard with parts that are compatible and don't over power any one component.  If I'm forced to live with a weak link, I want it to be the tires.  I can bolt on new tires a lot cheaper and easier than any mechanical parts.
