Okay, enough you two.  This is not fair.  You know, I just sold my convertible.  You know, I really like this car that is a sister to my 63 SD.
Then to add salt to the wound, you may remember I almost traded my convertible for a Nova cloned as an L-79.  This has been a dream of mine for years to start with a very nice, clean 62-63 Nova (or Acadian) and clone it as an L-79, 4 spd bench seat car.
Excuse me while I go outside and beat my head against the bumper of my truck.  Also, I will need a couple days to discuss the terms of divorce with my wife.

This car will be a great driver either way. 1: Leave it alone and have a decent gas mileage driver. 2: Put a mild V8 (300-350 HP) 4 speed and have a Mini Screamer to play with. Option 2 will peg the Fun Meter !!!!! and still be a cheap car...

Norm, Norm, Norm, you're as bad as I am. We make the rational decision to downsize and before the money is even in the bank we're looking at another project.
I can't stop thinking about additional projects even though I'm not responsible enough to look after what I've got.
Remember it's easier to get forgiveness instead of permission LOL

OMG, I'm not alone.  I feel better just knowing it is in my DNA and someone else shares the same gene.
I own:
2004 Pontiac Vibe
2007 Toyota Tundra
1997 Olds Cutlass SL
1997 GMC Crew Cab Dually Hodges Car Hauler
1963 Acadian Beaumont Sport Deluxe
1962 Acadian 4 dr parts car
2008 Jayco Travel Trailer
2007 Cargo King 24' enclosed trailer
2007 Trailmaster Utility 6'x8' Trailer

The only thing my wife uses is the Vibe, so that means, I'm the only one playing with the other toys.
Also, I should confess, I have already made an offer to another member for a car that was offered on this site (I couldn't help myself).

That's a great looking car!

Question: Is that a heater delete car too? i don't see any heater controls on the dash or a heater box under the hood. (could be I don't know what I am looking at).

Went back & looked at the photos and I see that the coolant lines go into the fire wall behind the shock tower.... Got you a bump up anyway...

I think it would be a crying shame to take the original 6 out of this true surviving original little unit guys! But that's just my opinion; and a very humble opinion I might add. As like a lot of other guys, if I had the coin she'd be in my garage and left the way she is from hereon-in. What an absolute little beauty and so original!

Lots of interest at the swap meet. One firm offer at $10,000.00 (I turned it down) Another offer of $11,000.00 (I turned it down also). I agree it wouldn't be right to take the six out of it. I guess that is why I haven't already done it. Just bought a factory 4 speed Nova SS and just today bought a Factory 4 speed 64 SS Chevelle. Guarrenteed NO V8 and 4 speed going in the Acadian.

a broker e-mailed me a 65 SS 283 4-speed california car needing paint blue on blue ---same car ?

sorry to ask - whats the difference in a $10,000 firm offer and an $11,000 offer ? does it mean the 10 guy was't going higher or he had cash and showed it or ? and the 11 was real or are you sggesting blowing wind ? sorry if this doesn't sound right I'm just asking

When I was selling cars  I had to "accept" the 10.000.00 offer.

Put it on paper, and then "work him" for the rest   it was called a "bump"   disbelief

The $10.000.00 guy is REAL and has approached me twice with the same cash offer. I want $12,000.00 and his offer of 10 is a normal (Barter, Wheel&Deal, etc.) offer. On the other hand the $11,000.00 offer could be a Smoke Blower or (Inhaler) lol. Maybe I'm nuts on this particular car "BUT" I just think 12 grand is a hell of a good deal. What do you guys think. The 64 Chevelle SS is coming from Colorado (Factory red car,Black guts) bone stock. The original paint has now faded to PINK !!!!!!!! It does run&drive and is currently taged.
