Need help identify this 1957 bracket

Hi guys,

I'm still going through all my ziplocs and cleaning and restoring small parts and bolts.

I cannot remember or figure out where this bracket goes. I am assuming the bracket was bent like that originally, however I find it weirdly twisted.

On the bag I have written "bracket to transmission to rad..." but cannot figure out what this means confuse

I found this bracket in the same bag as the spark plug wires bracket and brass fitting located on the top driver side at the rear of the block, so I am assuming this bracket should go somewhere in that area.

The motor is the 283 V8 2BC.

Thanks!

Thanks 427Carl,

Yes it looks close enough, but where does it go exactly?

I am looking at my starter pictures and don't see this bracket.

Thanks

If that is a little too hard to see, PM me your email address and I will send you the full-size picture.
