steering box

Hello:
I am looking for a steering box for my 1952 fleetleader special, 6 cyl. My mechanic thinks the steering and front end are chevrolet as they do not match the car manual for Pontiac. Any ideas?? I can buy a rebuild kit but would prefer to buy one already done. Thanks for your help in the past.

Yes your front end and steering box are the same as Chevrolet.

But you can rebuilt yours mostly easily with some salvage parts or get machining some in need for.

You can use a 53-54 one because they are with bearing inside instead of a bushing.

Remember, yours is 95% repairable.

yes you should, and you can use the flasher unit switch already install on most of 53-54 steering column.
