Hi ; How are the frame and floors on the car . Had a 57 2 dr htp back in the 60,s. My first car and been looking for one for a long time but seem to keep missing. ( dollar short or day late lol ) Thanks; Steve

Hi Steve

It was sold new in Calgary and was in Saskatchewan until at least 10-15 years ago so it wasn't exposed to the nasty weather up here in Ontario for most of it's life.  I could only find one hole on the drivers side floor board.  The trunk wouldn't open but I did see pics of the trunk from two years ago and it looked very solid.  The pics of the trunk were on here for awhile.  I jacked the car up and blocked it for the winter and from what I could see the frame was all solid but of course needs to be blasted and restored.  I was going to wait until the weather gets better to go under and inspect it properly and than post it on here in the for sale section.

For the price and rarity I think it's a very fair price and other long time members here have also said the same thing.  Where else are you going to find a very restorable 57 2dr hardtop with it's original 283/220 for $2500 with a great interior/exterior colour combo.  It is likely the only 283/220 "Super Strato Flash" in existance.  I really hesitate to even sell it but as I said I'm getting married and could use the extra cash.  Plus I still have have the 57 Pathfinder Business Coupe Gasser project, 57 Safari wagon, and 57 Pathfinder Deluxe.  If your interested send me a message and I'll send you my number so we can discuss the car more.

Thanks, Steve.

Yes I,ve thought about it but all three are in the final stages of painting and reassembly. I may take some more pic,s when the weather warms up and post some if I get this computertator crap figured out. Gonna be a busy spring on the projects plus hopefully a move east in early summer.

I hate to sell it but my fiance is totally worth it and after 9 years deserves a wedding.  She has been very understanding of my automotive obssesion and me in general.  She doesn't even flinch when she hears "Honey, guess what I found in this farmers field today. . . ."  But don't feel bad for me, the changes are all for the good.

I still have the 57 Pathfinder Business Coupe I'm making into a 60's Gasser, a 57 4dr Safari(two tone blue original 283 car) that will hopefully be the tow vehicle for the Gasser, and a rough 57 Pathfinder Deluxe 2dr hardtop that I hope to make into a custom with heavy body mods.  Thats why I'm willing to sell the Laurentian for what I have in it to someone who can give it the attention and restoration it deserves.  I'm into it for about $2500.  Which I think is a very fair for a car that is likely the only 57 Pontiac 283/220 known to exist let alone numbers matching.  I have other parts that could be available that I have bought for extra.  I might be able to deliver it to southern Ontario, Winnipeg, Ottawa for reasonable expenses.

I was asked to post some pics of my 57's so I'll try and post a bunch now.

This collection of 57 Pontiac photos still mesmerizes me and i wonder what happened to all these 57 Pontiac's. Does anyone have any up dates on any of these 57's. I remember the two door hardtop with the Power Pack 283 being discussed at one time. It would be interesting to hear any updates. Cheers.
