Just my 2 cents but I think that repair is fine. There's not a lot of stress on a tie rod.

Ahh, those guidelines make sense.

Kanter I don't think sells the solid tierods, also, they really screw you on shipping. But, they do have some stuff you can't get anywhere else. If I had a Packard, I suspect we'd be on a first name basis!

I can see how you could fatigue the metal, bending it back and forth, just like a paperclip.

Yes, this tierod is beefier than the one on my One ton truck!
