color of th steering parts when new

hi i am starting to restore my 66 canso SD ,what color were the tie rods steering box spindles and so on.thiis is a power steering car. black or cast

I know on the A body cars I've seen black painted centre links and natural (bare) tie rods with painted tie rod sleeves.

I'm not sure on the X body cars. Also, the next thing may be that even if you go online and check Novas to see what is correct, the info will likely be American and the Oshawa cars may well be different.

I don't think I've ever seen painted spindles but never say never.

I think the steering cylinders that I have are black. However, they are both off US cars, so who knows for sure?
