Hey thanks for that Ray, really interesting read and great photos. Other than your dashboard I recognized several of the cars featured, including BillGT's '75 Cup edition currently for sale locally in Winchester and the dark red four speed '74. Lots of fun!

Thanks Ray. I've long been a fan of those stripes and will consider getting some if I'm ever lucky enough to end up with another one of these beauties... even if it's not an original GT.
The optional stripe for all 73 LeMans cars is pretty cool in my opinion as well as shown below. You find it mostly on GTO's but it was available on any two door model. (except GT pack cars)
Come on Ray. You're making me drool with all these cool pics. All it's done here is rain. Got to take my cars out once a few weeks ago. When will it be sunny again?
Same here, I was hoping to go to our local cruise tomorrow night but it is raining and 80% chance for tomorrow right up to the weekend as well, cold on top of it.
Read below what was posted on Ultimate GTO about my car.....
Royal Oak:
Never understood why they put Chevrolet engines in Canadian Pontiacs, but you'd have to admit that a 'Corvette' powered LeMans GT with power on par with a 455 73 GTO is kind of neat.

We did it for two reasons, keep jobs in Canada using McKinnon high quality engines and to eliminate tariffs on imported engines.

I wonder if Chevy Big Blocks were available. I'm guessing yes. A 454 LeMans - yikes.

That one is pretty cool too! Would be a tough choice...
It's nice that they use a car with NOS factory stripe installed in 1988 to promote their reproduction stripes that just became available. Has anyone used their reproductions yet?
That would make Ray's car with headers and a Humbler exhaust a nice sleeper. Come in late to car shows and flip the switch. It I'll be like flies to sh##
