i dont know if you know or not... but get your engine to T.D.C. the pull your distributor cap and if your rotor button is pointing at cylender #1 then should be correct
Timing looks to be out. Since you have the valve covers on the esiest way to get it right is to remove the #1 plug and bump it over a little bit at a time until you feel pressure on your finger over the plug hole. Then turn it the rest of the way up to tdc. You may also have someone turn it over by hand and you should feel the pressure / compression stroke. Once you have done this you remove your distrubutor cap and you will find it is not pointing to #1. Remove the dist and drop it back in so it lines up with #1. Don't worry if it doesnt drop all the way down at first. The drive for the oil pump may not line up at first. just turn the engine over a bit and it will drop down.....Hope this makes sense.
